So long

Mami-chan
Eddy and Jean
Haruna
A week of farewell parties - I hope I don't have to do it again soon. Said goodbye to Mami, Jean, Tomoko and Steve. I'm used to seeing people come and go from my office, but this time I said farewell to the people I've worked with the longest.

Now if I can just survive the welcome parties...

Marcus, Mami says she doesn't like her picture! Sat 24-Apr-2004 09:57

Question: Would you accept a job installing a TV studio in Baghdad?

My throat hurts

New age me
A duet
I say, I think I know a song about that!
Yesterday was my first day off in a while so I took a local train down to Kawasaki and did a bit of window shopping. Its a surprisingly good place to hang out - there a couple of good cinemas and plenty of good restaurants only a few minutes from Keikyu Kawasaki station. Later, we decided it was time to break out the tambourine and hygienically-sealed microphones...

Yes, that's right - karaoke.

And let me tell you, "Welcome to the jungle" has never sounded so good.

Melbourne
Flinders Street Station, Melbourne
Sydney Harbour Bridge
Sadly, Toho has decided to retire Godzilla after some 28 movies. The good news for fans is that Godzilla, Mothra and the gang will appear one last time, in the upcoming "Final Wars". According to the article, Godzilla's going to destroy "New York, Paris, Shanghai and Sydney" before leaving us in peace.

hey well it was damn good fun ( seem to remember) having you home here in melbourne again I just wonder where i might run into you again, although i told someone I want to go to scotland sometime soon. so maybe you could think about that. Iarted my blog check it out !! Mon 22-Mar-2004 05:40

Tadaima!

North Point, Hong Kong
Wan Chai
Well I'm back in Tokyo after two weeks holiday in Australia and Hong Kong. I'll write everything up just as soon as I have the chance (not to mention post some photos - we took about 160 using film, another 60 with the digital camera and about 70 on my phone!). In the meantime, here are a couple of shots of Hong Kong which I'm really happy with...

Looking forward to seeing my dashingly handsome face appear... Thu 11-Mar-2004 21:38

Shaun of the Dead

Exciting news for fans of the British comedy "Spaced". Writer/actor Simon Pegg and director Edgar Wright are back, this time with "Shaun of the Dead" a "romantic comedy horror" movie. The story follows "a 29-year-old wannabe DJ who is jolted out of his professional and romantic inertia by a zombie invasion of London". Sounds like fun!

You can see the trailer here.
